About the Community

 Lovell has a public library, 7 churches, 3 motels with about 80  total rooms and a  free camper park.  The community has a hospital with 15 beds and a nursing home with 94 rooms.  Further, the Lovell area has 3 doctors and 1 dentist.  Lovell boasts 4 baseball fields, 2 tennis courts, a large indoor swimming pool, a golf course, and 3 city parks.

 Lovell is served by The Lovell Chronicle (weekly),  The Billings Gazette (daily), and The Casper Star-Tribune (daily) newspapers.  Several radio stations operate in the area, and a locally-based telecom company, TCT West, provides cable television, telephone services, and internet access.  Rocky Mountain Power and Montana Dakota Utilities provide electricity and gas services.  The Town of Lovell (307-548-6551) supplies water, sewer, and trash removal to the residents.

 Each year in late June, Lovell hosts its annual Mustang Days Celebration.  Events include dances, parades, games, rodeo, Mustang Follies (variety show), as well as additional events.

 Big Horn County School District #2 includes the Lovell area.  The town has an elementary school (grades1-5), a middle school (grades 6-8), and a high school (grades 9-12).

 Big Horn County School District #1 is made up of by the towns of Byron, Cowley, Deaver, and Frannie.  District #1 has an elementary school (Cowley), a middle school (Deaver), and a high school (Bryon).

 Northwest College is located 20 miles away in Powell Wyoming.
